touch honors the elderly at St. Joseph monastery through the “Women to Women success” Initiative

March 21, 2016 touch: the leading mobile telecommunications and data operator in Lebanon, managed by Zain Group, a leading telecom innovator in eight markets across the Middle East and Africa, celebrated Mother's Day with the elderly at St. Joseph monastery in Jrabta, North Lebanon.

touch cooperated with the initiative Women to Women Success which was launched by two Lebanese women Maud Jabbour and Lama Diab.  This initiative aims to enable women who live in difficult circumstances that prevent them from working outside the home. The idea is to help these women communicate with families and institutions that usually demand ready-made meals. Thus, these ladies are given the opportunity to prepare and sell their food, which constitutes a source of income for them.

touch came together with the ladies from Women to Women Success on the 21st of  March to celebrate Mother’s day at the St. Joseph monastery. The Chief - Executive Officer at touch Peter Kaliaropoulos and around 20 employees joined the women in preparing food for more than 55 elderly moms who live in the monastery. They drew smiles of hope on their faces and handed gifts over to them in an attempt to fill their hearts with the joy of mother’s day.

This initiative is rooted in touch’s corporate social responsibility program Positive touch, which aims to provide the necessary support for the development of the Lebanese society on all levels.
