Salem Y. Itani - Chief Technical Officer
Salem Itani has dedicated his professional life to managing telecom and information technology. Throughout the past seventeen years, he has demonstrated strong technical and commercial skills as well as extensive expertise in product development and innovation, technology solutions design, strategic planning, programs and projects management, and operations management.
Since he joined touch in 2002, Itani has shown an ability to lead change in telecoms and information technology resulting in high organizational efficiency and effectiveness, in line with the organization’s strategy. Commencing his telecoms career as a Core Network Senior Engineer, 15 years later Itani is now the Chief Technical Officer at touch, setting the objectives and strategies for the Technical Department and the organization as a whole.
Always driven by a thirst for knowledge, Itani has embarked on a variety of trainings and workshops, all of which have enriched his career. He was assigned as a Judge for the MIT Enterprise Forum Pan Arab Award, which is entrepreneur-focused and is affiliated with the prestigious MIT University.
Prior to joining touch, Itani worked at Cyberia Internet Service Provider and at the American University of Beirut as a Research Assistant in the Electrical & Computer Engineering Department. Itani holds an Executive Master’s in Business Administration from the Lebanese American University and a Master’s in Computer & Communications Engineering from the American University of Beirut.
